Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by your Lion View Tours guide, who will escort you to your accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to unwind and soak in the vibrant African atmosphere. Your experienced guide will be happy to share insights into Tanzanian culture, national parks, and sights. You’ll also receive a detailed safari briefing to get ready for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and striking baobab trees. As you explore, you’ll see a variety of wildlife along the Tarangire River’s banks and the diverse landscapes of the Great Rift Valley floor. Enjoy a thrilling morning and afternoon game drive before traveling to Karatu for the night.

Day 3: Karatu to Mto wa Mbu (Cultural Experience)
Today, after breakfast, visit Mto wa Mbu for a walking tour. Immerse yourself in the local culture, learning about traditional farming methods and the vibrant community life. Enjoy a local lunch or lunch box from your lodge. Later, return to Bougainvillea Safari Lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route and a late afternoon game drive upon arrival. Serengeti, meaning “endless plains” in Maasai, is renowned for its predators and the spectacular annual wildebeest migration.

Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater / Karatu
After breakfast, journey to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s largest volcanic calderas. Descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing, where you’ll encounter an array of wildlife including elephants, zebras, lions, and the rare black rhino. After your safari, return to Karatu.

Day 7: Fly from Arusha to Zanzibar
