Overview
This package is ideal for holidaymakers, honeymooners, and families with children. It highlights Northern Tanzania’s most iconic parks, including Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and a cultural experience with the Bushmen at Lake Eyasi, followed by a relaxing beach extension in Zanzibar.
During this adventure, accommodations will be a mix of charming lodges and a beach resort in Zanzibar. If you’d prefer different accommodation options, we are happy to customize the itinerary for you.
The journey begins with a transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa in Arusha. Afterward, you’ll meet with our Safari Manager for a detailed briefing.
The following day, after breakfast, you’ll meet your safari driver-guide and embark on your 8-day safari and Zanzibar beach holiday.
This 8-Day Bushmen Walking & Safari Adventure is fully flexible. The program can be extended, for example, by adding two extra nights in the Serengeti or an additional two nights in Zanzibar. Just get in touch with us to customize the itinerary to suit your preferences.

- 8-day private safari in a 4WD Land Cruiser for 2-6 people.

Itinerary
Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha
After clearing customs and immigration at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), your Lion View Tours guide will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free to relax and soak in the African atmosphere. Your knowledgeable guide can offer insights into Tanzanian culture, national parks, and sights—feel free to ask any questions. Later, you will receive a detailed safari briefing to prepare for your adventure.

Day 2: Arusha To Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for a game drive in Tarangire National Park, which stretches along the banks of the Tarangire River and features low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The park’s landscape is dominated by Acacia woodlands, massive Baobab trees, and southern swamps, which attract abundant wildlife, especially during the dry season. Tarangire is renowned for hosting some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. Enjoy an exciting morning and afternoon game drive before returning to Karatu late in the evening.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop for lunch along the way. Covering nearly 14,763 square kilometers, the Serengeti is renowned for its dense predator population and the annual wildebeest migration. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word “Siringet,” meaning “boundless plain.” Upon arrival, enjoy a late afternoon game drive en route to your camp.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at your camp, embark on a full-day game drive starting in Central Serengeti and exploring other areas of the park. Enjoy wildlife viewing throughout the day, with lunch boxes served inside the park. In the evening, return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater / Karatu
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a packed lunch from camp. Spanning 8,300 km², Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, covering 260 km² and about 20 km in diameter. Spend the day exploring its diverse environments and spotting large herbivores such as elephants, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. The crater is a natural sanctuary with one of the densest wildlife populations in the world.
Later, drive back to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Karatu to Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, depart between 10:00-11:00 AM for Lake Eyasi. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and dinner at the lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the swimming pool and taking in the beautiful sunset. Prepare for your visit to the Hadzabe Bushmen the following day.

Day 7: Lake Eyasi Safari
After an early breakfast, drive to meet the Hadzabe, the last true hunter-gatherers of East Africa. Experience their traditional methods of hunting game and gathering fruit, roots, and honey. Afterwards, visit the Datoga tribe, known for cattle breeding and blacksmithing, and learn how these two communities rely on each other for survival. The activities will take around 3 hours, followed by lunch on the way to Arusha.
Overnight stay at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Departure from Kilimanjaro Airport
On your final day, depending on your flight time, you can either relax at the hotel or explore Mto wa Mbu with a local guide on a village walk. Later, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
